Typical Trail Ride Weekend Schedule Members typically arrive either Thursday or Friday but may come for just a day (Saturday or Sunday). Two or three different campsites may have bonfires....bring a chair and join in! We have no "scheduled" rides during the weekends. Small groups go out together...don't be afraid to join a group. Saturday night is usually potluck night where everyone brings a dish (or two) to pass. We pull tables together and eat as a group that night. These rides are a time to relax, enjoy your horse, and share camaraderie with fellow equestrian riders! Any questions? Ask our weekend ride coordinators...their info is listed with each ride.
May 4-6 Ukarydee Equestrian Horse Campground, Arkdale, WI Hosts: Kathy & Dave Bleskey Email: kbleskey@wi-net.com The Trailgaiters are booked into the lower campground, sites 1 and 16-30 (2-15 are on the hill). We haven’t been in that campground for several years, but it is very nice. Water, electric and bathrooms are just as convenient as in the front campground. And it probably is a little quieter as it is back from the road and the traffic noise. (All the sites in the lower campground have round pens.) Dave and I booked site 19. It would be a good idea for members to book their sites soon. As you can see, sites fill up fast in the spring. The Ukarydee website indicates that if you find you are not able to attend, with sufficient notice, you may be able to roll you prepaid reservation over to another date. For more details, click here.
May 18-20 Underdown, Lincoln County, WI Host needed
June 15-17 Big Valley Ranch, Avoca, WI Host Karla Hurd Email: khurd@rocketmail.com We have changed our camp-out date for Big Valley to June 15-17th and moved the Zumbro Bottoms trip to June 1-3 . We have also reserved the barn for those who prefer not to camp that weekend and still have room for 7 more in the 2 double rooms. The cost is $100.00 per person for the weekend. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to stay in the barn as we have to send in the $600.00 deposit right away and need a firm commitment from people. If we have enough interest, we may be able to rent the bunkhouse also. The manager @ BVR mentioned that the Cowboy mounted shooters will also be camping this weekend and performing in the outdoor arena - so it may be a good idea to get your camping reservations in early and request a campsight on the (right) corral side of the road.
